a trading post on the Arkansas river. a reminder to the natives that much has changed since the euro-americans got their way. there are more settlers than natives there now. not nearly as many opportunities for the natives to trade their goods. the little rock settlement, now the capitol of the arkansas territory and open to land speculators.
